This Cookie Policy explains which cookies and equivalent technologies this website uses, what they are for, how long they last and how their use can be authorised, changed or refused.
1. What cookies and equivalent technologies are
A cookie is a small text file a website stores on the visitor's device and that the browser returns on later visits. They serve very different purposes, from remembering a preference to measuring audiences or personalising advertising.
One clarification is needed, because the common name does not describe well what this site does. To store your cookie choice we do not use a cookie but the browser's local storage, an equivalent technology that stays on your device and is never sent to the server. The applicable rules are the same, which is why it is described here.
2. Categories
We group storage into three categories.
Necessary
Essential to the operation of the site. At present they amount to a single record, the one holding your own decision about cookies. They do not require consent, because without them your choice could not be honoured, and they do not allow you to be identified.
Analytics
They help us understand how the site is used, which pages are visited and where visits come from, so that we can improve it. They are only activated with your consent.
Marketing
They allow the effectiveness of advertising to be measured and interest-based ads to be shown on third-party platforms. They are only activated with your consent.
3. Which cookies we use

We also use Google Tag Manager, which sets no cookies of its own but acts as the container for the tags above. It is only loaded once consent exists for at least one of the categories that depend on it.
Until consent is given, none of these services is loaded. This is not merely a matter of discarding the data collected: the requests to Google's and Meta's servers are never made.
4. How to give, change or withdraw consent
On your first visit a notice is shown where you can accept everything, reject everything, or choose category by category. Refusing is as simple and as visible as accepting.
The decision can be changed at any time through the Cookie preferences link in the footer of every page. Withdrawal takes effect immediately and the services stop being loaded.
The record of your choice is valid for six months. After that, or if this policy changes materially, the notice is shown again so that the decision is a current one rather than a forgotten click.
You can also configure your browser to block or delete cookies. Note that this route is broader and may affect how other sites work.
5. Consequences of refusing
Refusing the analytics and marketing categories does not restrict access to any content and does not prevent orders from being placed. Every feature of the website remains available. The only consequence is that we lose usage statistics and advertising measurement.
6. Personal data
The processing of personal data associated with analytics and marketing cookies rests on your consent, and is described in more detail in the Privacy Policy, including the transfers outside the European Economic Area these services involve.
7. Changes
This policy is updated whenever the services in use change. The table in section 3 is the part that reflects those changes, and is therefore the one to check.
